DO YOU HEAR THE PHONE RINGING?

I would call you up and take you on a date,

We would stroll by the moonlight, and maybe we’ll skate.

I would take your hand and put it in mines,

Give you a rose and the finest wines.

I would whisper in your ear, and tickle your neck too,

That’s only the beginning of things I would do to you.

We would dance in the moonlight where I would hold you near,

You would put your hand on my face where their would be a tear.

Because I would be so happy I had a woman like you,

I’d be the luckiest man in the world and happy too!

Because I think your so beautiful, lovely sweet and kind,

Sexy, witty, humble and you sure are fine!

I look at you walk with so much beauty and grace,

And that wonderful smile that you keep on your face.

How could I not want to see that everyday?

And not call you on the phone so I can hear you say…

Hello Mike and what your doing today?

Want to come over to my house so that we can play?

I would answer…you serious? you ain’t said a thing!

Give me ten minutes and you’ll hear your doorbell ring!

I’ll come over and we’ll go get something to eat,

We’ll talk for awhile as we relax our feet.

We’ll laugh and cry and tell our stories,

About our childhood times and our fame’s and glory.

After about three hours we kiss and say goodbye,

I have a tear in my eye and I you know want to know why?

Because without you my world is just not the same,

Only you can keep it free from blame.

Your the love of my life, and I will keep you near,

You’ll have no troubles and have no fears,

Because I’m your king and your my queen,

And I would most surely give you anything!

But what I would give you , you would have from the start,

And that’s my love for you from the bottom of my heart.
